The Best of Sazani Island

Sazan Island is a military area but for several years during the summer months is open to visitors. It is located inside the Karaburun-Sazan Underwater Park. Offers the opportunity for completely unique diving experiences.

Sazan Island in the northern and northwestern part of the island is present a volcanic geological phenomenon with leaking sources of gases and waters containing sulfur which can be observed and enjoyed by divers

Hell’s Gorge with the underwater cave is an unforgettable experience for divers who have tried to enter it.

The seabed of the island is full of life. The Gorge of Hell is a cave that has an entrance at a depth of only ten meters and extends to almost 100m. In the middle of the cave there is a large air pocket in which you can emerge and see the beautiful hall, and the dark blue color of the water bathed in the sun shows you the way out of the cave. The cave and its entrance are full of life and a great location for good macro photography and ambient photography.

In addition to these unique attractions, there are numerous remnants of the Cold War, pottery from different periods, big fish, local and transient Mediterranean species, etc.
